TOP TIP
To keep costs low we opted for fixed-position castors – these are cheaper to buy than swivel castors but do need to be linedup exactly when being screwed in.

1 Begin by cutting the base. We used our Perspex disk as a template, to ensure the top and bottom of our table were the same size. Place the disk onto a sheet of MDF and draw around it, then use a jigsaw to cut it out. Sand the edges, then wipe with a damp cloth. Spray the MDF base with two coats of paint. Once thoroughly dry, turn the base over and screw four castors into position.
