Happy New Year! I hope you had a fantastic Christmas. If, like me, you made a New Year’s resolution to tackle the junk in your home, then you’re going to love our clutterbusting feature on page 36. We’ve found all sorts of
clever solutions to make every room of your home neater and more organised. For many of us with busy family lives, the hallway can often become the dumping ground in your home
with coats, bags and boots scattered everywhere. But we’ve found three readers who have taken their hallways in hand and transformed them into beautiful yet practical spaces that look good and function properly (p.24). Now the Christmas decorations have come down, does your home feel drab and bare? If your answer is yes, then we’ve got some gorgeous decorating ideas to bring it back to life. The hopeless romantics amongst you will love this season’s heirloom trend (p.20), while on page 42 we’ve got some gorgeous, affordable metallic buys to make your home sparkle and shine. If you’re thinking of buying a new vacuum cleaner in the sales, take a look at our buyer’s guide before you hit the shops to discover which model is right for you (p.56). Meanwhile, on page 114, we take a look at the latest flueless fires, which are a boon for heating homes without a chimney. And if you’re thinking of moving home this year, take a look at our practical advice on buying a new-build home on page 106.
