Among my earliest memories of learning about history is a short period as a child when we were taught about the Aztecs. It was likely just after a short course on the Egyptians and before we dug into Henry VIII and his wives, and I remember being very taken with the vibrant, gory tale. If I’m perfectly honest, I didn’t think much about the Aztecs after that. Thankfully, one of the great benefits of my role is that I finally get to immerse myself in these long-forgotten interests, and what an incredible world the Aztecs offer.
