American Miniaturist Magazine Issue 255 Back Issue

Winter is behind us and nature is slowly waking up from a long slumber. This issue is filled with colorful content to awaken your creativity! I do enjoy the colder season because less distractions makes focusing on creative projects much easier. I also enjoy sitting with a cup of coffee, my cozy cat, and my idea notebook. I write out my goals for the day, projects I would love to venture into and supplies I may need to gather.
My focus this year is to listen to my intuition. I have great intuition but tend to give ‘benefit of the doubt’ too much power. It always backfires, so it’s time for a change in thinking. Also forcing myself to make time for self-love is a must. I am so goal oriented that I forget to take time to relax or do things my soul needs to recharge.
Which led me to a new project! I found a beautiful mini doll that my inner child would squeal about. So I will make a super feminine and sweet dollhouse for her (she will be a mini me). I tend to put pressure on myself as an artist when I build, so this one will only need to be good enough for me. If it makes me smile as I build, then I’m on track! I wonder if anyone else feels this way. Do you build to push yourself and your skills or just to feel happy? Or maybe both. Let me know!
