For many mid mod enthusiasts, Albert Frey needs no introduction. Renowned for his pioneering “desert modernism” architectural style, Frey is responsible for much of how we perceive Palm Springs today. Originally from Switzerland, he immigrated to New York during the Great Depression and was hired by architect Lawrence Kocher, with whom he designed the legendary Aluminaire House.
