Bright Ideas
Bursting with vibrant color, this kitchen is part of a larger total renovation of a 1959 Palm Springs home that doubles as an Airbnb vacation rental.

THE PALETTE PLAYS THE MOST EYE-CATCHING ROLE IN THE OVERALL KITCHEN DESIGN. “WE CHOSE TEAL AND YELLOW AS OUR FOCUS COLORS FOR THE HOME,” SARAH SAYS. “WE LIKED THE IDEA OF A TEAL KITCHEN, ESPECIALLY SINCE WE FOUND THE LOUD YELLOW TILES WE PUT IN THE ENTRYWAY. I CHOSE A SIMPLE SUBWAY TILE TO KEEP THE DESIGN MINIMAL WITH CLEAN LINES SINCE WE WERE USING SUCH A BOLD COLOR.”
