WATCHES

OUT OF THE WOODS
Audemars Piguet has introduced a little camouflage (as an option on the bracelet) to its Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph watch. The camo look does the exact opposite of its aesthetic function, ensuring that this watch really stands out. What’s also particularly pretty about this watch is the forest-floor colour palette with all the subtle hues of nature, including a beige “Grande Tapisserie” pattern and brown counters on the face. The white gold on the hour markers is reminiscent of the watery sunlight that filters through branches and leaves, and the finishing touch is a green ceramic stainless-steel 42mm case. There is a woody beauty, but it’s not a case of style over substance — this watch boasts a 50-hour power reserve and a 100m water resistance rating.
