REVAMPED: Upper Class seats, and, inset, Oscar
Virgin Atlantic have revealed the redesigned cabin for their new Airbus A350s, which will take to the skies this summer, initially from Heathrow to New York and Atlanta. Seats in economy have been made with bespoke fabrics, six-way adjustable headrests and 11.6in-wide seat-back screens. Premium seats are tailored with claret leather, the meal tables are made of pressed black wood and the screens are 13.3in. Upper Class passengers will benefit from flat beds, new privacy screens, and a whooping 18.5in entertainment screen while the bar has been re-imagined into The Loft, a large social space allowing efight people to sip cocktails or dine together. The brand is also replacing its “Flying Lady” artwork, which adorns its aircrafts, with a dfiverse range of characters to reflect modern Britain including our mate “Oscar” in rainbowcoloured flycra.
