Ten brave swimmers took to the icy waters of Lamlash when a revived Boxing Day Dook was staged this year.
And joining them was 70-year-old Liza Lindsay-McDowell, a visiting gran, who took part with her grandson Ruaridh Lindsay-Smith.
While some donned wetsuits, others walked calmly into the sea at Lamlash Pier in their swimming costumes to make the short swim round the pier before emerging to some comforting towels being held by their family and friends.
