Two environmental groups on Arran are getting together tonight (Saturday) to show the film Albatross, by American artist, photographer and passionate oceans advocate Chris Jordan. This film is both beautiful and tragic. However, because of the powerful content, the makers ask that the film should only be shown to those over 12 years of age.
The film is being staged jointly by the Community of Arran Seabed Trust (COAST) and the new TAP Arran (Think About Plastic) group who consider the issues of plastic ocean pollution so important that the film will be shown free of charge.
Donations will be welcome and after covering costs will be divided equally between the film-maker, COAST and TAP Arran. The film will start promptly at 7pm in the community theatre in Lamlash.
