A newly-released engineer’s report on Arran’s public conveniences will be used to help decide the future management of the facilities.
Covering the physical condition of each toilet block, the 60-page report was prepared on behalf of local communities by North Ayrshire Council as decisions are made on the management of toilets on the island.
Tuesday’s meeting of Arran Community Council heard that every block requires some work, with the condition varying between sites. Further meetings will be held within local communities to discuss potential management options for Arran’s seven public toilet blocks.
