Members of the Arran Junior Triathlon Club took part in the last event of the season, the Prestwick Aquathlon, last Saturday and they all improved their times from the same event in May.
Rhea Webster won the tristart girls’ event. She also won in May, knocking 11 seconds off her own winning time. The two most improved triathletes were Archie Gunaydi and Beth McCarthy, knocking more than one minute from their previous bests. The club also had many more excellent finishers with six athletes in the top three. ‘The most pleasing result was all the team improving, showing all their hard work is paying off,’ said head coach Craig Wood.
Despite taking part in the event, club members were still back out on Sunday when they enjoyed Hallowe’en themed training session.
