AT Mo Farah’s pre-race press conferences last Friday, it was impossible to ignore the
“AskFarah” hashtag which had created a social media storm of negative cynicism of the athlete after Sky Sports innocently invited people to tweet questions they would ask the runner.
“It doesn’t really affect me,” shrugged Farah. “When you get to a high level as an athlete, this kind of thing happens, but I did have some great messages (on social media) with people behind me. As an athlete I have to concentrate on my running and do what I can.”
