Having lived in a cosy London flat, Edwardian terrace and other cramped houses in the capital, Astrid knew she wanted to stay in London, but she and her growing family were in need of a much larger home. Looking on the edges of west London, they found a plot that could accommodate this. They came across Baufritz in a self build magazine and approached the company for a design, attracted by the cost and timeline certainty that a package home delivered. “Both my husband and I were working full time and we just didn't have time to waste with unclear budgets or schedules,” says Astrid. “And from all the prefabricated house builders, choosing Baufritz was quite simple.”
