THE Westminster parliament broke up for the summer last week after what has been a quite astonishing episode in British politics.
I reckon for generations to come, students of politics will look back at this period in history with open-mouthed amazement.
In the past couple of weeks we have had the resignation of a prime minister, followed by the plotting, the backstabbing and the dirty-dealing all played out in public view before the coronation of a new prime minister.
