Sports and merit prizes handed over to Dalintober Primary School pupils

CHILDREN at Dalintober Primary School received their hardearned prizes just in time to celebrate the summer holidays.

The annual prizegiving took place on the afternoon of Wednesday June 29, with Mrs Lisa Ross, chairwoman of the PTA, presenting the sports prizes and Barry Colville, a parent council member, presenting the merit prizes.

Additional thanks were paid on the day to two volunteers who have assisted the school throughout the year, Mrs Lisa McCallum and Miss Jenna Lamont.

CS Wind and Glen Scotia Distillery were also thanked for sponsoring two brand new sports prizes. A spokesperson said: ‘Leaving Dalintober this year are Mr John Ives and Mrs Ana Garrido and retiring after 24 years’ service, Mrs Irene McIlchere.
