A vast collection of more than 230 vehicles will be offered for sale from 19 May to 7 June by Dutch online specialist Classic Car Auctions, on behalf of Galerie Aaldering. Assembled across two warehouses and a church, and with some outside, by enthusiast Ad Palmen, the eclectic set spans from veterans to modern classics, with similarly varied values.
At the top end of the price range are the likes of a 1955 Lancia Aurelia B24 Spider America, 1964 Maserati 3500GT and three Talbot-Lago Record T26s, from 1949, ʼ50 and ʼ51. Rarities – including a 1948 Tatra T87, 1965 Matra-Bonnet Djet, 1967 Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint Zagato and a Simca 9 Sport with a Figoni et Falaschi body that appears to have been a 1954 Paris motor show car – are also bound to excite bidders. A unique Monica prototype, bodied by Vignale in 1969 and thought lost for decades, is also present, to the amazement of marque enthusiasts. The remainder includes eight Facel Vegas, six Ford Thunderbirds, 19 more Alfa Romeos, a further 12 Lancias and many more.
