Leyland tried to change the choice of double deckers to just its Titan in the 1970s, but it didn’t bode well for the company. Before that, Leyland absorbed the Daimler Fleetline into its portfolio. Many liked it, but then the AN68 Atlantean came along – which was better?
We have more about the problems of forward entrances on front-engined double deckers and more on Bristol Lodekka variety; we also hear about another bus route to a cemetery, although locals got its destination name changed…
We take a look at some single-deck demonstrators that Ipswich tried out and we take a ride over an ancient bridge known as the bridge of swearing; it’s explained why in the article.

Plus there’s our popular, lively and well-illustrated Forum section with topics ranging far and wide, and a look at some new books.
