NOW’s convoy of joy continues with yet more wonderfulness, via offerings for fans of all strands of pop music.
For once, there isn’t a regular Yearbook edition, presumably as the NOW team are trying to figure out what to do with 1976. To fill the gap, Yearbook ‘77 Extra is another 3CD of solid classics. 1977’s regular Yearbook was magnificent, but it still missed out gems such as Hot Chocolate’s seismic Put Your Love In Me, The Dooleys’ Love Of My Life, Harold Melvin And The Blue Notes’ Don’t Leave Me This Way, Paul McCartney’s Maybe I’m Amazed and Iggy Pop’s Lust For Life. This scoop-up is as good as the main event, with so many tracks that are instant headrushes, even for people who weren’t yet born then.
