Covid-19 can’t stop all milestone events in pop music happening. The mighty Go West will toast - fingers crossed - their 35th anniversary next year with a celebratory tour featuring a full orchestra with support from Cutting Crew. Peter Cox and Richard Drummie kick off four dates at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall on 1 May followed by shows in London, Southend and Manchester. Go West also hope to add to the shows with a September tour alongside Paul Young.
Meanwhile, Squeeze are to play the first live music event at The O2 Arena, London, in more than eight months. The band will perform at the venue on 5 December with strict social distancing measures in place reducing the capacity from 20,000 to 4,700.
