Diesel&EcoCar Magazine

December 2025 We’ve got a Christmas themed issue for you, with Renault’s new electric Twingo on the front cover making a colourful entrance. We’ve got the first details of the new diamond-badged city car, along with the Peugeot Polygon concept, the Mazda Vision X Compact and Vision X Coupé concepts, the next generation Toyota Hilux, the Corolla concept and Honda Super-N. Our testers have been trying out the brilliant new Honda Prelude, Kia EV4, the facelifted Alfa Romeo Tonale, Leapmotor B10, Citroën C3 Aircross, updated SEAT Ibiza, MG IM6 and the Geely EX5, as well as the facelifted Honda Civic, the Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster, Ford Puma Gen-E and the Fiat 500e Giorgio Armani Collector’s Edition. We welcome a Skoda Octavia diesel to the long-term fleet and with a few tears wave goodbye to both the Honda CR-V and Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid. Tis’ the season to be jolly, so we’ve got a special edition of Christmas Gadget Inspector, together with the annual Christmas crossword. This month’s used car buyer’s guide is all about the Ford Mondeo (2019 to 2022), and we examine three different generations of the Citroën C3. In Best Buys this month, we tell you which German diesel cars are at the pinnacle of their class in 12 different categories. This is in addition to all of your other favourite features including The Doctor, Motorgrump, Fully Equipped, Bright Spark, and the most up-to-date data section in the magazine business. Don’t forget to check out one of the newest columns, Grand Designs, that looks back at a groundbreaking concept car, as well as an interesting look at past prototypes, clay models and design sketches, some or all of which you may never have seen before. Finally, don’t forget to read the column from our resident legal expert, in The Legal Lane.

diesel, green cars, electric mag

The UK’s leading magazine for diesel, green cars, electric, hybrids and alternative fuelled vehicles, full of advice on tech, mechanics, future plans. great photos inspiring reviews Reviewed 21 August 2022

I like the way it has evolved over the years

I have been buying it in print and online since the early 2000s and I like that it always has focused on the economy end of motoring, or us cheapskates if you like. It has moved to covering hybrids and electric cars which is good, and hasn't forgotten its roots - diesels.

It's a friendly, down to early mag and Doctor Diesel is still the best bit.
