DNA: Rufskin has a 20th anniversary coming up. That’s a milestone for any fashion business, let alone one that has defied conventions and trends, would you agree?
Rufskin: One thing is for sure and that’s we love what we do today even more. The Rufskin brand seems to be the quiet outsiders of the fashion business. Our headquarters is in San Diego, California, which is far removed from the fashion hotbeds of LA or New York, and we haven’t had to follow guidelines as to how or when we need to sell our products like some other brands do. We’ve maintained a tight, family business that has an appetite for manufacturing locally so we are able to closely monitor the craftsmanship and timing of our launches at our own pace.
