Books are brilliant. But they seem to reproduce at an alarming rate. There never seem enough hours to discover new literary friends, let alone touch base with old ones. And while a physical tome’s an amazing sensation, you lose your place while out jogging and the constabulary takes a dim view of speed-reading at the wheel on that long motorway journey.
