It might not say ‘Don’t Panic’ – like the cover of the eponymous Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy – but it’s surely no accident that The Pirate Planet has its title emblazoned across the front in Large Friendly Letters just beneath the name of the man who dreamt it all up. This is the third in a trilogy of books based on Douglas Adams’ Doctor Who episodes that, almost 16 years after his untimely death, try to capture his wit and imagination, and let’s be honest, his sales.
