This year, BBC Audio is trying something new with its ‘Audio Originals’ line: a run of linked stories exploring one historical era with three different Doctors, all written by Justin Richards.
“The spur for the trilogy was the centenary of the First World War, which culminates this year – after more than four years of conflict, a ceasefire came into effect on 11 November 1918,” explains range editor Michael Stevens. “Justin devised the central idea and the three individual storylines that contribute to it, and the choice of specific settings was his. Real events of the war form a backdrop to the characters and scenarios the three Doctors meet in their respective stories.
