Colin Baker at an Edinburgh performance of The Ultimate Adventure with reader David Mudie to his right.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Doctor Who stage play The Ultimate Adventure. Some of you were lucky enough to see it…

JASON BUCKBY LEICESTER Great articles on The Ultimate Adventure stage show in DWM 537. In July 1989 I dragged my folks to see Colin Baker as the Doctor at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal. We were standing outside a café before the show. I looked in the window and there was the Doctor, the Cyber Leader and another cast member having a coff ee. My mind was blown! I was shy at the time so I didn’t go in and ask for autographs. I loved the show. Colin was on top form and it was very exciting to see the Daleks screeching “Exterminate!” live. But my dad wasn’t impressed – he said he’d wished it were Jon Pertwee.
