in 2014 Marlene Prickett found this Greenleaf house in a charity shop and, although it was in poor condition, she decided to rescue it. The stairs were in pieces and the wood floors were either curling up or missing. There were two to three layers of wrong scale wallpaper, and the outside trims were badly painted.
Marlene had decided to donate the house to a charity auction once it was finished so she soon got on with the job, stripping the trim and ordering new plastic for the windows. The layers of wallpaper were removed to be replaced with more appropriate papers. The floors were stripped and sanded and LED light strips were installed.
