ASGRA is Scotland’s accrediting body for professional genealogists and researchers in archives.
The Association: ASGRA was founded in 1981, under the patronage of the Lord Lyon King of Arms. ASGRA’s members are highly-qualified, and have many years’ experience in carrying out research in Scottish archives and assisting clients worldwide in discovering their Scottish ancestry.
Within the membership, you will find researchers with expertise in particular geographical areas, time periods or types of research, and several are published authors in the fields of genealogy, social and local history.
