Hello HomeStylers! As someone who more often than not has a paintbrush in hand, I feel so excited to be heading up a magazine which is so ‘me’. As soon as I bought my first property I set about the renovations, armed with Pinterest boards of inspiration. But my love affair with the transformative effect of a spot of DIY started long before that, and for this you can blame my mother. There was no ‘calling in the decorators’ in our house. Although truth be told, looking back I’m not so sure about some of our colour choices or dubious paint effects – but to be fair, this was the early nineties! With so much inspiration at our fingertips now, us HomeStylers have never been so creative, and this issue is packed with ideas.
