Jaguar Enthusiast  |  Vol 29 No.11 Stretching the XJ
Don’t the months just fl y by without
you noticing it. After the poor
weather conditions of 2012 and
the wet spring, we actually ended
up with a good summer with plenty of
opportunity to enjoy our cars. Despite
the economic climate this didn’t dent the
enthusiasm of Jaguar owners to get out
and about with some record turnouts
at Regional events and a very strong
following for the Club’s northern and
southern days, seeing a return to the two
annual national events. Thank you all for
supporting the events which take a lot of
organisation, time and money to put on.
Now it is the rundown to the winter (here
in the UK at least) and many of you will have
already put your classics ‘to bed’, but it isn’t all
over yet. This month sees the NEC Classic Car
Show in Birmingham, the UK’s biggest and
busiest event of the year. As usual, we will be
in attendance as a Club and the draw will take
place to fi nd the winner of this year’s Jaguar XK
convertible - good luck to you all and remember
you can still get tickets through the post or
over the show weekend, as the draw will not
take place until after 2pm on the Sunday.
