The Church of Scotland Guild has announced that the total amount raised for its partner projects from 2015-18 has passed three quarters of a million pounds. In a Facebook post, the Guild revealed that the total raised for the six projects is now £750,311 and still rising, describing it as 'a truly fantastic amount'.
In recent years the Guild has themed its annual programme around strategies lasting three years. From 2015, the strategy was named 'Be Bold! Be Strong!', and the individual years were themed 'Go in Peace', 'Go in Joy' and 'Go in Love'.
During each three-year period the organisation has chosen six partners, supporting a mixture of Scottish and overseasbased projects. For 2015-18, the homebased projects were: Ascension Trust Scotland and the Street Pastors Care for the Family's Let's Stick Together programme; All Friends Together and the work of Prospects, which supports churches in sharing fellowship with people with learning disabilities.
