THE DOCUMENTARY DO NOT RESIST LOOKS AT HOW AND WHY LOCAL POLICE HAVE BEEN TURNED INTO HEAVILY ARMED SOLDIERS

MEN IN BOOTS and camouflage sit on what appear to be armored tanks, as lightning flashes. The opening of the documentary Do Not Resist looks to be in Fallujah, but it’s in Ferguson, Missouri, shortly after the 2014 fatal officerinvolved shooting of Michael Brown. Protesters chant, “No justice, no peace,” as officers fire tear gas and push toward them with a wall of tactical vehicles.

THE WAR NEXT DOOR: Law enforcement officers patrolling Ferguson, Missouri, during the Michael Brown protests appeared to be combat-ready.
