The work of Highland Council’s Gaelic team and the significant Gaelic and cultural developments they are providing has been commended by members of Highland Council’s corporate resources committee.
Councillor Alister Mackinnon, chairman of the committee and the council’s Gaelic implementation group, said: ‘I am very pleased at the progress and range of our Gaelic developments at Highland Council, which is extremely encouraging for our commitment to the promotion of the language and culture. I would like to highlight the great news that our bid to host the Celtic Media Festival has been successful.
‘It was an honour to be at this year’s festival in Llanelli to hear the intimation of our success – well done, and thanks to our team for all the work devoted to this bid.
