Parchment Craft  |  July 2014
We begin with a white worked rose, submitted by admired
contributor Julie Roces. It’s a design which began life as a simple
sketch whilst Julie was sat relaxing in her garden. From the
emails I receive from the other members of the design team,
that sketching process is exactly how many of their designs are
initiated.
The floral theme is more than apparent in this issue too with
cards by Kay James, Hiskia Wittenaar and Chantal Patry all
designing bright and bold pieces, and not forgetting the cover
feature by Tina Cox. Her trendy Dragonfly greetings card
combines vibrant colours with floral aspects and zentangled
lines, yes zentangled lines! And if you’ve never heard of
zentangles, turn to page 36 for Josie’s workshop for more
information.
