This issue contains several assembly projects of new models ready for the 2013 season, as well as reviews on a new turbine, the Wren 80 ‘jubilee’ and Futaba's all-new 14-channel telemetry enabled transmitter, the 14SG.
Kits reviewed include the new Viper S from Fly Eagle Jet and Fei Bao’s big T-33 complete with an unusual artic colour scheme. Dave Swarbrick takes on some ‘balsa bashing’ to build a Vampire from Tony Nijhuis Designs and Serge Bordais makes some modifications to the undercarriage, as he continues the build of his S-54 from Christen Diffusion. Finally, for those wanting a small but highly agile EDF model we look at SebArt’s MiG-29.
March 1983 saw the worlds first jet turbine powered model the ‘Barjay’ take to the skies! As we pass the 30th anniversary of this momentous occasion Jamie Cuff recalls the story of the TST MK1 turbine in ‘Through Adversity to the Skies’, with original photos and commentary provided by those involved.
