CHARITABLE CAUSES
This month, charity was very much brought to the forefront; both in Raider and our general day-to-day life.
On the cover you’ll notice that our biggest article this month covers the Invictus Games; an Olympics style event used as an alternative means to help rehabilitate injured service personnel. Set up by Prince Harry, the games have gained huge plaudits since their invention, and this year saw the games move to the United States - home of one of the worlds biggest militaries, as well as home to some of the most patriotic people you’ll ever meet.
The turn out for the games was huge, and not only was it a huge success in that regard, it also gave many soldiers the will and passion to continue in their day-to-day lives.
Another charity we came across in our day-to-day lives this month is one by the name of ‘Pilgrim Bandits’. Pilgrim Bandits were brought to our attention through our sister magazine and an event we run with said magazine.
Pilgrim Bandits essentially provide support for service personnel who’ve in some way lost limbs whilst serving their country. They are continuously putting on new events and raising money to help those they can, and they are definitely a charity we will be looking to work with in the near future. For now though, if you want to find out a little more about them, visit their website - www.pilgrimbandits.org
But enough from us! Wherever you may be, why don’t you put your feet up and join us for the next 57 pages of Raider Magazine.
