DMU DEPARTURE: A pair of Class 108 DMU cars left the Wensleydale Railway (WR) on February 15, believed for the same fate, but at different locations. They are both muchtravelled and long-time stored, with thoughts of restoration appearing to have been abandoned due to the availability of ‘Pacers’ on the WR. They are expected to be dismantled for spares parts.
THE Severn Valley Railway’s Spring diesel festival is to celebrate half a century of main line diesels in preservation – and brings together an unrivalled collection of heritage guest and home fleet locomotives, as well as many examples of modern traction from the main line.
