MICROSOFT SURFACE LAPTOP GO 2
from £529 / stuff.tv/Go2
Microsoft’s Go series is all about bringing bits of its most expensive laptops to those who haven’t got a grand to spend; and the Laptop Go 2 is good-looking, extremely portable and admirably powerful… as long as you pick the £729 top-spec model.
At 15.7mm thick and weighing just 1.13kg, portability is excellent. It’s made of aluminium and plastic, as opposed to the magnesium alloys of other Surface models, but the feel and finish don’t fall far below the high standards of the range. The slightly cut-down QWERTY lacks a backlight, but for most people that’s only likely to be an issue in a power cut.
