In the May issue of Women’s Running, we’re trying out some new run habits! For those of us who are committed lonely goats, we explore how running in groups can help us find new paths, seek different adventures, and make friends for life. In the newfound spirit of adventure, we tackle the trails too, and find out exactly what we need to leave the pavement behind for good (or at least, for the summer). We’ve created a training plan for those summer trails too, based around taking on a 10K or a half marathon off-road – be warned, there might be a few hills... All that, and we’ve got a bumper crop of new running shoes on test, we figure out how to carve out time for our training when every hour is precious, and we discover how to tap into our inner lions in time for race day with some simple psychological tricks.
