Cosmic Roots and Eldritch Shores is a new online speculative fiction magazine which accepts original fiction and reprints from 1,000 words upwards. Shorter pieces with strong characters, plot and ideas are favoured.
Editor-in-chief Fran Eisemann’s team are looking for well-written original stories in science fiction, fantasy, myth, legend, fairy tales, and eldritch, in written, podcast, video, and/or graphic story form, and from around the world. Work may be serious or humorous. Science fiction may be hard or soft, but if you use real science make it accurate. The editors are also seeking non-fiction articles and reviews which compliment the fictional content.
Avoid horror, hate, blood and guts, explicit language, excessive violence, angst-ridden romance, fan fiction, sex, axe-grinding, or stories that leave readers feeling they’ve had the energy and joy sucked out of them. No simultaneous or multiple submissions.
