AGENT OPINION
In one of his two excellent memoirs of life as a screenwriter in Hollywood, William Goldman (Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, The Princess Bride, etc, etc) repeatedly quotes the mantra that no-one knows what they are talking about. Undoubtedly it’s an idea that one can take too far because there are some people who know what they are talking about rather more of the time than others, but it’s worth bearing in mind.
