Norwich Writers’ Circle is inviting entries for the third Olga Sinclair Open Short Story Competition.
This year, the competition is for original, unpublished short stories on the theme of ‘strangers’. The winner will receive £400, with a second prize of £250 and a third prize of £100. Ten runners-up will receive a signed copy of Strangers: A History of Norwich’s Incomers by local historian Frank Meeres. The winner and runners-up will be published in Norwich Writers’ Circles’ 2017 anthology.
Submit manuscripts as Word docs (not pdfs), double-spaced in 12pt Arial or Times New Roman with 3cm margins. The writer’s name must not appear on the manuscript. Include a separate cover sheet with contact details and story title. Entries may be submitted by email or by post.
