QWe know a lot of first novels are semiautobiographical but is that a good or a bad thing, or somewhere in between? While we’re always told to write about what we know, I can see how that might be limiting to the plot in some ways because of a loyalty to the past. It could also get in the way of imaginative free rein. On the other hand, truth is stranger than fiction! I would love to hear you opinion on this.
