Like a knife through butter

If you’re cutting a sticky cake, tart, cheesecake or pie, dunk your knife in a jug of very hot water in between slices and dry it before cutting. The heat will help the knife glide through and leaves you with a perfect looking slice! For traybakes, you can coat your knife with spray oil first.
