So we finally have a new British record carp of 68lb 8oz from Waterside. Well done to the capture Mike Nixon. Unfortunately we heard this week that the Waterside Common as it was known died. It had been under tremendous pressure for some time and was being caught almost every week recently. This is a pattern we often see before fish die. A part of me can’t help feeling a bit sorry for the fish that find themselves in this position
