We catch up with Karen Curtin, managing director of the Graven Hill self and custom build development in Oxfordshire, to ask her about the many opportunities to design and construct bespoke dwellings here
Graven Hill offers land for self-builders looking to construct bespoke homes and be part of a community with green surroundings
What is Graven Hill and how is it helping self-builders in the UK?
Graven Hill is a new community of like-minded people who’ve put love, sweat and tears into creating their dream homes, as well as residents who want to live amid nice surroundings with lots of green spaces. It offers a unique opportunity to have a new abode designed and built to fit with the way you want to live your life. Self-builders can benefit from our fast-track approach to planning.
Thanks to a Local Development Order (LDO) granted by Cherwell District Council, Graven Hill is able to offer land with a Plot Passport, which sets out parameters such as maximum floor area. As long as the dwelling’s design complies with the recommendations, consent is secured within 28 days of submitting plans. We have 11 character areas, each giving owners more or less freedom in their choices.
