Situated on top of a cliff overlooking the sea, Westhaven Developments (westhavendevelopments.co.uk) conceived and built this modern sustainable home with design input from Arco2 Architecture. The project is a thoughtful intervention that transformed an unused site into a stunning, ecoconscious property. With a design ethos focused on respecting and enhancing the landscape and vernacular, while embracing contemporary architecture and energy efficiency, the project fits seamlessly into its surroundings. From its vantage point, the dwelling offers panoramic coastal views stretching from Newquay to Cape Cornwall’s western tip. The high-performance home features triple glazing and an MVHR system. An expansive first-floor balcony provides solar shading for the glazed living area below, cleverly combining form and function.
