with a glazed connection
If you’ve got two older buildings side-by-side that you’d like to make into one, or want to extend sensitively, the planning and/or heritage authorities will normally require breathing space between the two structures to be maintained. So, you’ll need to connect them delicately. A glass link is the lightest touch you can have in terms of construction, that will also remain subsidiary to the main house and original buildings.
