The 15th issue in the Vintage Roadscene Archive series ‘On the Buses’ – now renamed Buses of Britain – covers a number of well-remembered Northern Municipal operators, some of whose vehicles have not featured prominently in other publications in the past. Using pictures taken by long-time enthusiast, Linden Edwards, whose photographs of buses around Halifax made up issue 11 last year, we look at the buses and trams of Blackpool and Llandudno, plus the buses of Blackburn, Bolton, Lincoln, Grimsby and Hull, seen mainly in colour between the 1960s and more recent years.
