CATHAY PACIFIC was forced to temporarily ground its 48 Airbus A350s in order to carry out inspections after an in-flight incident on September 2. A350-1041, B-LXI (c/n 262), operating from Hong Kong to Zurich as flight CX383, suffered an engine fire shortly after takeoff. The aircraft returned safely to Hong Kong about 1hr 15mins after departure and it was later confirmed that a fuel system component had failed.
